Your 2 Days Mathura Vrindavan Agra Tour begins with a comfortable pickup from your Delhi hotel, railway station or any preferred location in the early morning. Drive to Mathura, approximately 150 kilometres from Delhi, arriving by mid-morning. Begin your Braj darshan at Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi — the believed birthplace of Lord Krishna and the most sacred site in the entire Braj region. The temple complex includes the main Katra Keshav Dev shrine with a deeply devotional morning atmosphere of prayers, bells and incense. After Janmabhoomi, visit the iconic Dwarkadhish Temple known for its beautifully painted ceilings, ornate stone architecture and vibrant morning aarti. Conclude the Mathura circuit with a peaceful walk to Vishram Ghat on the holy Yamuna before driving to Vrindavan.
Drive from Mathura to Vrindavan, approximately 15 kilometres away, and check in to your hotel. After a short rest and lunch at a clean local vegetarian restaurant, begin the Vrindavan temple circuit. Start at the legendary Banke Bihari Temple — one of the most spiritually powerful temples in all of Braj with its unique curtain darshan style that moves every devotee who visits. Please note that cameras and mobile phones are strictly not permitted inside Banke Bihari Temple. After Banke Bihari, visit ISKCON Vrindavan for the afternoon aarti — a deeply devotional experience with energetic kirtan and beautiful deity darshan. Also visit the ancient Radha Raman Temple, one of the oldest and most revered temples in Vrindavan with a self-manifested deity and an intimate spiritual atmosphere.
As the sun sets, head to Prem Mandir for the spectacular evening coloured light and fountain show. The white marble temple complex is breathtaking after dark, illuminated in thousands of coloured lights with detailed carvings of Krishna leelas glowing on every surface. After Prem Mandir, visit the mystical Nidhivan — the sacred forest believed to be the nightly site of Krishna's Raas Leela with the Gopis, carrying an extraordinary spiritual atmosphere unlike anywhere else in Braj. Conclude the Vrindavan evening with a peaceful aarti at Keshi Ghat on the holy Yamuna. After the aarti, drive from Vrindavan to Agra, approximately 65 kilometres, and check in to your Agra hotel for the overnight stay.
Wake up early for the sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal — one of the most iconic monuments in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a testament of love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal is best experienced at sunrise when the white marble glows softly in the early morning light and the crowds are at their thinnest, allowing you to explore the monument and its perfectly symmetrical gardens at a comfortable and unhurried pace. Your driver will guide you to the nearest entry gate and advise on monument entry tickets which are payable separately at the ticket counter. Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for a complete and relaxed Taj Mahal visit.
After the Taj Mahal, drive a short distance to Agra Fort — a magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest examples of Mughal military and palace architecture in all of India. The fort complex includes grand red sandstone and white marble structures such as the Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas, Jahangir's Palace and the Musamman Burj — a tower from which Shah Jahan is said to have gazed at the Taj Mahal in his final years. The view of the Taj Mahal from within the fort is one of the most memorable perspectives of the monument available anywhere in Agra. After Agra Fort, explore the local Agra market for a short while if interested, known for its marble inlay handicrafts, leather goods and Agra petha sweets.
After completing the Agra sightseeing circuit, your driver will begin the comfortable return journey. You can be dropped at Agra railway station, Mathura Junction or your Delhi hotel depending on your onward travel plans. The drive from Agra to Delhi via the Yamuna Expressway takes approximately 3 to 4 hours depending on traffic conditions.
