2 Day Braj Darshan Plan

Day 1 – Morning

Arrival & Mathura Darshan – Krishna Janmabhoomi & Dwarkadhish Temple

Your 2 Days Mathura Vrindavan Gokul Barsana Tour begins with a comfortable pickup from your Delhi hotel, railway station or any preferred location in the early morning. Drive to Mathura, approximately 150 kilometres from Delhi, arriving by mid-morning. Begin your sacred Braj darshan at Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi — the most revered site in the entire Braj region and the believed birthplace of Lord Krishna. The temple complex carries a deeply devotional morning atmosphere with prayers, incense and the sound of bells filling the air. After Janmabhoomi, proceed to the iconic Dwarkadhish Temple — one of the most architecturally stunning temples in Braj, known for its beautifully painted ceilings, ornate stone facade and vibrant morning aarti. Conclude the Mathura darshan with a peaceful walk to Vishram Ghat on the holy Yamuna river before driving to Vrindavan.

Day 1 – Afternoon

Vrindavan Darshan – Banke Bihari Temple, ISKCON & Radha Raman

Drive from Mathura to Vrindavan, approximately 15 kilometres away, and check in to your hotel. After a short rest and lunch at a nearby vegetarian restaurant, begin the afternoon Vrindavan darshan circuit. Start at the legendary Banke Bihari Temple — one of the most spiritually charged temples in all of Braj with its unique curtain darshan style that is unlike any other temple experience in India. Please note that cameras and mobile phones are strictly not permitted inside Banke Bihari Temple. After Banke Bihari, visit the grand ISKCON Vrindavan for the afternoon aarti — a moving experience with energetic kirtan and beautiful deity darshan. Also visit the ancient Radha Raman Temple, one of the oldest temples in Vrindavan with a self-manifested deity and an intimate darshan atmosphere.

Day 1 – Evening

Prem Mandir Evening Show, Nidhivan & Keshi Ghat Aarti

As the sun sets over Vrindavan, head to Prem Mandir for the spectacular evening light show. The entire white marble complex is illuminated in thousands of coloured lights after sunset, making it one of the most breathtaking visual experiences in all of Braj. After Prem Mandir, visit the mystical Nidhivan — the sacred forest believed to be the nightly site of Krishna's Raas Leela, where the ancient trees carry an extraordinary spiritual energy and the atmosphere after dark is deeply moving for every devotee. Conclude the first evening with a peaceful aarti experience at Keshi Ghat on the holy Yamuna river, where the lamps on the water create a serene and spiritually uplifting end to a rich first day of darshan.

Day 1 – Night

Hotel Check-in & Overnight Stay in Vrindavan

Return to your hotel in Vrindavan for a comfortable overnight stay. Your accommodation is located close to the main temples for easy access the following morning. Rest well after an enriching first day covering Mathura and Vrindavan. Dinner can be enjoyed at the hotel or at a clean nearby vegetarian restaurant recommended by your driver. Day 2 begins early with Gokul and Raman Reti in the morning, followed by Barsana and the Radha Rani Temple in the afternoon before the return journey.

Day 2 – Morning

Gokul & Raman Reti – Krishna's Sacred Childhood Village

Wake up early and drive from Vrindavan to Gokul, approximately 15 kilometres away — the sacred village where Lord Krishna spent his earliest childhood after being brought there by Vasudeva on the night of his birth. Gokul is a deeply peaceful and spiritually significant destination that is often overlooked by first-time visitors to Braj but carries an extraordinary sense of divine history. Visit the ancient Brahmananda Ghat on the Yamuna, the Nanda Bhawan and the sacred Raman Reti — the soft holy sand where Lord Krishna is believed to have played as an infant, which devotees touch and roll in as an act of deep devotion. The tranquil atmosphere of Gokul is a very different spiritual experience from the busy temples of Vrindavan and Mathura.

Day 2 – Afternoon

Barsana – Radha Rani Temple Darshan & Return Journey

After Gokul, drive to Barsana, approximately 40 kilometres away — the birthplace of Radha Rani and home to the famous hilltop Radha Rani Temple. The temple is perched on Brahmagiri Hill and reached by a flight of steps, offering a commanding view of the surrounding Braj countryside from the top. The darshan here is deeply emotionally significant for every devotee of Radha Krishna, and the entire hilltop complex has a serene and spiritually charged atmosphere. After Barsana darshan, if time permits, make a brief stop at Nandgaon — the village of Nanda Baba just 8 kilometres away — before your driver begins the comfortable return journey. An early morning pickup between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM is recommended to arrive in Mathura in time for the morning temple darshan and aarti timings at Krishna Janmabhoomi and Dwarkadhish Temple.

Yes, Govardhan can be added to this tour as an optional stop on Day 2 after Gokul or before Barsana. Govardhan Hill, Manasi Ganga and Kusum Sarovar are all within a comfortable driving distance of the other Day 2 destinations. Adding Govardhan will extend the Day 2 itinerary by approximately 2 hours. If you wish to include Govardhan along with a short parikrama stretch, we recommend starting Day 2 slightly earlier to keep the overall itinerary comfortable and unhurried.
