Your 2 Days Mathura Vrindavan Tour begins with a comfortable pickup from your Delhi hotel, railway station or any preferred location in the early morning. Drive to Mathura, approximately 150 kilometres from Delhi, arriving by mid-morning. Begin your Braj darshan at Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi — the most sacred site in the entire Braj region and the believed birthplace of Lord Krishna. The temple complex includes the main Katra Keshav Dev shrine and a large prayer hall with a deeply devotional morning atmosphere. After Janmabhoomi, proceed to the iconic Dwarkadhish Temple, known for its beautifully painted ceilings, ornate stone carvings and vibrant aarti. Allow around 30 to 40 minutes at each temple to soak in the spiritual atmosphere without rushing.
After the morning temple darshan, take a peaceful walk to Vishram Ghat on the banks of the holy Yamuna river — the sacred ghat where Lord Krishna is believed to have rested after defeating Kansa. The ghats of Mathura are lined with small shrines and heritage temples that give the city its timeless spiritual character. Spend some time absorbing the riverside atmosphere before enjoying lunch at a clean local vegetarian restaurant. After lunch, drive from Mathura to Vrindavan, approximately 15 kilometres away, and check in to your hotel. Freshen up and prepare for the evening temple circuit in Vrindavan.
Begin the Vrindavan evening darshan at the legendary Banke Bihari Temple — one of the most spiritually charged temples in all of Braj and famous for its unique curtain darshan style unlike any other temple in India. Please note that cameras and mobile phones are strictly not permitted inside Banke Bihari Temple. After Banke Bihari, visit the mystical Nidhivan — the sacred forest believed to be the nightly site of Krishna's Raas Leela — where a resident guide shares the fascinating legends connected to this extraordinary place. Head to Prem Mandir after sunset for the spectacular coloured light show, where the entire white marble complex is illuminated in thousands of lights. Conclude your first evening with a peaceful aarti at Keshi Ghat on the holy Yamuna river.
Return to your hotel in Vrindavan for a comfortable overnight stay after a spiritually fulfilling first day covering Mathura and Vrindavan. Your hotel is located close to the main temples for easy access the following morning. Rest well in preparation for the second day darshan circuit which covers ISKCON Vrindavan, Radha Raman Temple, Govardhan and additional Vrindavan temples depending on your pace and preferences. Dinner can be enjoyed at the hotel or at a nearby vegetarian restaurant recommended by your driver.
Begin Day 2 with the energetic morning aarti at ISKCON Vrindavan — officially known as the Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir. The complex features beautifully carved white marble architecture, well-maintained gardens and a deeply devotional morning atmosphere with kirtan and beautiful deity darshan of Radha Shyamasundar, Radha Ramanadeva and Gaura Nitai. After ISKCON, visit the ancient Radha Raman Temple — one of the oldest and most revered temples in Vrindavan, known for its self-manifested deity and deeply intimate darshan atmosphere that is very different from the larger temples. If not visited the previous evening, also include Nidhivan in the morning round. Check out from your hotel after breakfast.
After the morning temple circuit, drive from Vrindavan to Govardhan, approximately 25 kilometres away, for a final sacred stop before the return journey. Govardhan Hill is one of the holiest sites in the entire Braj region — the hill that Lord Krishna is believed to have lifted on his little finger to protect the people of Braj from Indra's storm. Visit Manasi Ganga, the sacred kund at the base of Govardhan, and the beautiful Kusum Sarovar — a stunning stepped reservoir surrounded by ornate cenotaphs that is one of the most picturesque spots in all of Braj. After Govardhan, your driver will begin the comfortable return journey and drop you at Mathura railway station, your Delhi hotel or any preferred destination, completing your 2 Days Mathura Vrindavan Tour on a spiritually fulfilling note.
Temple timings may change during festivals, special events and local crowd conditions. Banke Bihari Temple and other popular temples may have temporary route restrictions during rush days.
