Undertake the sacred 33 Braj Kos Yatra covering the complete Braj Mandal Parikrama with all major temples, kunds, forests and holy places associated with Lord Krishna's divine leelas. A deeply spiritual journey through the heart of Braj Bhoomi with comfortable private cab support.
The 33 Braj Kos Yatra is a shorter but equally sacred version of the traditional 84 Kos Braj Parikrama. This yatra covers the most important sacred spots of Braj Bhoomi including Mathura, Vrindavan, Govardhan, Barsana, Nandgaon, Gokul and other divine locations associated with Lord Krishna. Our private cab supported yatra ensures devotees of all ages can complete this spiritual journey with ease, comfort and devotion.
Arrive in Mathura and proceed directly to Krishna Janmabhoomi — the most sacred site on the entire Braj Kos Yatra. This is the believed exact birthplace of Lord Krishna where you will experience the deeply devotional morning atmosphere filled with chanting and the fragrant scent of incense. The main Katra Keshav Dev shrine and the large prayer hall are particularly powerful in the early morning hours. Allow 60 to 90 minutes for an unhurried and spiritually enriching darshan experience.
After Krishna Janmabhoomi proceed to the iconic Dwarkadhish Temple — famous for its beautifully painted ceilings and ornate stone architecture. Then visit Gita Mandir where the complete Bhagavad Gita is inscribed on marble pillars and walls — a unique temple experience. Also visit Birla Mandir for peaceful reflection. End the afternoon with a visit to Vishram Ghat on the holy Yamuna river for a tranquil riverside walk before returning to your hotel for dinner and overnight rest.
In the evening return to Vishram Ghat to experience one of the most spiritually moving rituals in all of Mathura. As darkness falls the ghat comes alive with warm oil lamp light, the sound of conch shells, temple bells and devotional chanting. The collective energy of hundreds of devotees creates a deeply profound and moving spiritual experience that sets the tone for your Braj Kos Yatra.
After breakfast drive to Vrindavan and begin at the legendary Banke Bihari Temple — one of the most spiritually charged temples in all of India. The unique swinging curtain darshan here is deeply moving for all devotees. Please note cameras and mobile phones are not permitted inside. After Banke Bihari visit the ancient Radha Raman Temple with its intimate serene atmosphere and then the historic Govind Dev Ji Temple built in 1590 by Raja Man Singh of Amber.
Visit the mystical Nidhivan — the sacred forest believed to be the nightly site of Krishna's Raas Leela. A guide will share the extraordinary legends of this forest. Then proceed to the magnificent Prem Mandir and if time permits stay until after sunset to witness the spectacular coloured light illumination that transforms the entire white marble complex into a breathtaking sight. End the day at Keshi Ghat for the evening Yamuna aarti before returning to hotel for dinner and rest.
After breakfast drive to Govardhan — one of the most sacred sites in Braj Bhoomi. Govardhan Hill is where Lord Krishna lifted the mountain on his little finger to protect the people of Braj from Indra's storm. Perform the Govardhan Parikrama — the sacred circumambulation around the hill base — as per your comfort and capacity. The full parikrama is approximately 21 kilometres but shorter partial parikramas are also commonly done. Visit Mansi Ganga at the base of Govardhan and then proceed to the deeply revered Radha Kund and Shyam Kund — considered among the most sacred water bodies in all of Braj Bhoomi.
Visit Kusum Sarovar — the beautifully restored stepped reservoir near Govardhan surrounded by ornate cenotaphs and considered one of the most picturesque spots in the region. After Kusum Sarovar drive to Barsana approximately 20 kilometres away. The famous Radha Rani Temple — also known as Ladli Lal Temple — sits atop a prominent hill and the climb is rewarded with breathtaking views and deep devotional darshan. After Barsana drive to nearby Nandgaon — the village of Nanda Maharaj — to visit the hilltop Nand Bhavan temple complex carrying a warm and personal devotional energy.
On the final morning of your 33 Braj Kos Yatra you can optionally visit Gokul — where infant Krishna was secretly brought by Vasudeva on the night of his birth and where he spent his earliest years with Nanda Maharaj and Yashoda Maiya. Visit Thakurani Ghat and Nand Bhavan in Gokul. If Day 4 is part of your tour spend the afternoon in leisurely exploration of local markets for Mathura peda, religious souvenirs and prasad. Your driver will then drop you at Mathura railway station, bus stand or any preferred location. This concludes your 33 Braj Kos Yatra — a complete and sacred pilgrimage through the heart of Braj Bhoomi.
Temple timings may change during festivals, special events and local crowd conditions. Banke Bihari Temple and other popular temples may have temporary route restrictions during rush days. Start early from Delhi for a better experience. Package price may vary based on pickup point, vehicle type, travel date and group size.
