This combo tour brings together two of North India's most beloved spiritual destinations. The journey begins in the sacred land of Braj — visiting the birthplace of Lord Krishna in Mathura and the major temples of Vrindavan. You then travel north along the Ganga corridor to Haridwar, one of the seven sacred cities of Hinduism, famous for its breathtaking Ganga aarti. The tour concludes in Rishikesh, the yoga capital of the world, where the Himalayas begin and the Ganga flows crystal clear. Ideal for families, devotees and first-time pilgrims to North India.
Arrive in Mathura and check in to your hotel. After freshening up begin your Mathura darshan with the most sacred stop of the entire Braj circuit — Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi, the believed exact birthplace of Lord Krishna. The temple complex includes the main Katra Keshav Dev shrine with a large prayer hall filled with a devotional morning atmosphere of chanting and incense. After Janmabhoomi proceed to the iconic Dwarkadhish Temple famous for its beautifully painted ceilings, ornate stone architecture and vibrant morning aarti. Allow 45 to 60 minutes at each temple for a calm and unhurried darshan experience.
After a comfortable lunch visit Gita Mandir — a unique temple where the complete Bhagavad Gita is inscribed on marble pillars — followed by the beautifully maintained Birla Mandir with its peaceful open surroundings ideal for quiet prayer and reflection. In the evening make your way to Vishram Ghat on the holy Yamuna for the evening aarti — one of the most spiritually moving rituals in all of Mathura. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight rest.
After breakfast drive to Vrindavan, approximately 15 kilometres from Mathura. Begin your Vrindavan darshan at the legendary Banke Bihari Temple — one of the most spiritually charged temples in all of India with a unique swinging curtain darshan style unlike any other Braj temple experience. Please note that cameras and mobile phones are not permitted inside Banke Bihari Temple. After Banke Bihari visit the ancient Radha Raman Temple with its intimate and serene atmosphere and then proceed to the mystical Nidhivan sacred forest where a guide shares the extraordinary legends of this deeply revered place.
After a vegetarian lunch visit the grand ISKCON Vrindavan temple for the afternoon aarti — an energetic and devotionally rich experience with kirtan and beautiful deity darshan. After ISKCON proceed to the magnificent Prem Mandir — plan to stay until after sunset to witness the spectacular coloured light illumination that transforms the entire white marble complex into one of the most breathtaking sights in Vrindavan. Return to hotel for dinner and a restful overnight stay before the long drive north to Haridwar the following morning.
After an early breakfast check out from your Vrindavan hotel and begin the drive to Haridwar — approximately 220 kilometres and around 4 to 5 hours by private cab. The drive passes through the Gangetic plains and the landscape gradually shifts as you approach the Shivalik foothills. Arrive in Haridwar by midday and check in to your hotel. After a comfortable lunch and some time to rest and freshen up, begin preparation for the highlight of the Haridwar visit — the world-famous Ganga aarti at Har Ki Pauri in the evening.
Make your way to Har Ki Pauri well before sunset to find a comfortable viewing spot for the Ganga aarti — one of the most spectacular and emotionally overwhelming religious rituals in all of India. Thousands of oil lamps, conch shells, temple bells and the collective devotion of hundreds of pilgrims gathered on the sacred steps create a profoundly moving experience as the lamps are set afloat on the Ganga. After the aarti explore the vibrant ghats and market area of Haridwar at your own pace. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight rest.
After breakfast visit Mansa Devi Temple — one of Haridwar's most revered Shakti shrines atop Bilwa Parvat hill, accessible by cable car with breathtaking views of the Ganga below. After Mansa Devi visit Chandi Devi Temple on Neel Parvat — another important Shakti shrine with panoramic views of the Shivalik range. After completing both hilltop temple darshans drive to Rishikesh, approximately 25 kilometres from Haridwar. Check in to your Rishikesh hotel and enjoy a comfortable lunch before beginning the Rishikesh sightseeing in the afternoon.
Begin the Rishikesh circuit with a visit to the iconic Laxman Jhula — the famous iron suspension bridge across the Ganga connecting the two banks of Rishikesh — and the nearby Ram Jhula. Both bridges are surrounded by ashrams, temples and the calming sound of the Ganga flowing below. Visit Triveni Ghat — the most sacred bathing ghat in Rishikesh — for the peaceful evening atmosphere by the river. The ghat is particularly serene in the early evening with the sound of temple bells from nearby ashrams drifting across the water. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight rest.
On the final morning of the tour drive to the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple area — one of the most revered Shiva temples in Uttarakhand, set amid dense forests above Rishikesh. The scenic mountain drive to Neelkanth is itself a memorable experience. After Neelkanth return to Rishikesh for any remaining temple visits or quiet time by the Ganga based on your preferences. The morning hours in Rishikesh are particularly peaceful as the city begins its daily devotional rhythm with prayers, yoga and Ganga rituals filling the sacred riverside air.
After completing all darshans and spending a final morning by the sacred Ganga in Rishikesh your driver will drop you comfortably at Haridwar railway station, Rishikesh bus stand or any preferred location for your onward journey. If you have arranged a return to Delhi the drive is approximately 5 to 6 hours and the driver will ensure a smooth and comfortable departure.
